Meet tenor Andrew Goodwin at the Wake.

Sydney born Andrew Goodwin has already acquired and sung an extremely wide and varied repertoire of tenor roles around the world, from baroque opera to modern works, lieder and oratorio. He has won a number of competitions and is a founding member of the new Australian Vocal Ensemble (AVE). Last month Andrew sang in the St. Peter’s Cathedral Music Foundation Messiah and will be returning in February to sing at the Adelaide Festival in The Nightingale and Other Fables.. In November last year he sang yet another new role when he was Mime in the Sydney Symphony Orchestra’s concert performance of Das Rheingold. He has some ideas about the character of Mime, and has agreed to speak to our members about this, and related topics, in a Question and Answer session.

The discussion will be followed by afternoon tea.
